The Depot is a renovated train depot in Hopkins, Minnesota that now serves as a coffee house, youth community project, and trailhead for area bike trails. It is an all-ages and chemically-free venue. The Depot Coffeehouse is located at 9451 Excelsior Blvd, Hopkins, MN.

At the top of July, Chastity Brown will be performing in New York for the first time, at Banjo Jim’s , located in NYC’s historic Lower East Side/East Village area, for their 4th of July celebration. After which she will then be heading to the Langdon Street Cafe in Montpelier, Vermont, to showcase with Nicole Carey (Philly) and Angela Easterling (North Carolina) and then to New Hampshire to perform at the Highland Inn’s 10th Annual Women’s Concert Series on July 9th. The concert is free to guests. The Highlands Inn is a premier lesbian resort on 100 private acre, located in the heart of the White Mountains, New Hampshire’s major year round vacation destination.

It all started last June with a farewell bash for Chris Osgood, longtime Springboard for the Arts Program Director and passionate champion of artists everywhere, to honor him for his work and to thank him as he moved to his next adventure. Now the event is back and here to stay! It will take place Friday, June 26th.

Twin Cities World Refugee Day is a celebration of the more than 90,000 refugees who have made Minnesota their home in the past 30 years – and the more than 14 million refugees around the world. The event represents the many refugee communities of the Twin Cities with cultural performances, speakers, activities, food and vendors, and an immigrant resource fair that bring together refugees, their neighbors and the community in which we all live. While the Twin Cities has celebrated the event since 2005 – last year with more than 1,500 attendees – World Refugee Day was created by the United Nations and is honored around the world each year on June 20.

Performers include: Marimba Africa, e.g. bailey, Cultural Society of Filipino-Americans (CSFA), Hoang Anh Dance Group, Logan Moua, Nepali Dance Group, MN African Women’s Association Youth Dancers (MAWA Agile Program) & Titambe, Ka Joog (“The Last Poets”) + more. e.g. bailey performs at 4:00pm at Minnehaha Park (4801 Minnehaha Avenue South, Minneapolis), along with Umar Williams, Brian Van Tassel, and Dameun Strange.

The 15th Annual Stone Arch Festival of the Arts is proud to once again showcase over 40 of the Twin Cities best singer-songwriters and bands.  All this, along with a juried art fair of 250 fine artists, a classic car show, all the fair-foods you can eat, a wine garden and best of all, it’s FREE.
